Good Eats Spring Share
Vegetable Offerings
The most challenging time of the year to
be a local eater in our climate, this share
period finds us taking advantage of last
fall’s bountiful harvest and looking forward
to the promise of spring. We are well
stocked with beets, carrots, potatoes,
rutabagas, cabbage, celeriac, daikon,
onions, and other treats from the root
cellar. In addition the freezer is storing
goodness from last summer's bounty
including squash and pumpkin puree,
corn, sweet red peppers, hot peppers,
tomatoes, elderberries, shredded
zucchini, frozen greens, and pesto.
These, along with soil grown shoots &
sprouts from our sprout room will fill the
What some of our members are saying about Pete's Greens Good Eats...
“We are so happy you have chosen to provide winter and Localvore shares…it is wonderful that
you do this, and do it so well. It clearly takes an enormous amount of work, energy and
dedication. Thank you. We are telling all our friends about you and they are interested!”-
Christine O.
“It was fun to receive items in our weekly share that we would not otherwise have in the
house…and would not otherwise try. We especially like the greens, carrots, potatoes, beets and
turnips.”-Janet S
